Terms of Service

In short: use NomyNoms to plan meals, log food and train. Do not misuse it. Your content stays yours. AI answers and nutrition numbers are estimates, not medical advice.

1. Agreement

By using NomyNoms (the app, our website and our server, together the service) you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy at nomynoms.com/privacy. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. The service

NomyNoms is an Android app that helps you plan meals, save recipes, keep shopping lists, log food and weight, track workouts, and ask an AI coach for help. It can connect to Health Connect and Withings if you choose.

The app is free. We may add paid features later. If we do, we will show the price in the app before you pay, and nothing will be charged without your clear action.

3. Your account

You must be 18 or older to use NomyNoms. Give accurate details when you sign up, and keep your sign in secure. You are responsible for what happens in your account.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Use the service for anything illegal or harmful.
  • Try to get into other accounts or parts of the service you do not have access to.
  • Disrupt the service, or upload malicious code.
  • Infringe the rights of others, including copyright in recipes and photos.
  • Harass other people through shared links or email.
  • Scrape the service, or get around limits on AI features.

5. Your content

Your recipes, photos, notes and logs stay yours. You give us a limited permission to store, process and show them, only to run the service for you. We do not publish your content unless you share it, and we do not use it to train AI models.

6. AI features

NomyNoms uses AI (from Anthropic and Voyage AI) for the coach, recipe import, nutrition estimates, photo scans, workout ideas and summaries. What each feature sends is described in our privacy policy.

  • AI answers are for general information only. They are not medical, dietary or fitness advice.
  • Nutrition numbers and calorie targets are estimates and can be wrong. Check anything important.
  • Do not rely on the app to manage a medical condition, an allergy or an eating disorder. Talk to a doctor or a registered dietitian.
  • Talk to a doctor before you start a new diet or training program.
  • You may use what the AI gives you freely. We do not claim ownership of it, and we do not promise it is unique.
  • AI features can have daily or monthly limits, and we may change or remove a feature. We will tell you in the app about a large change.

7. Health and safety

NomyNoms is not a medical device and does not diagnose or treat anything. Exercise carries a risk of injury. Use your own judgment, use safe form and weights, and stop if something hurts. Recipes imported from other sites may be wrong or unsafe for you: check ingredients for allergens yourself.

8. Other services

Google sign in, Health Connect, Withings and Instacart are run by other companies under their own terms. We are not responsible for them.

9. Our service

The app, its design, code and brand belong to us. Do not copy, change, resell or reverse engineer them without our permission.

10. Availability

We work to keep NomyNoms running, but we do not promise it will always be available or free of errors. We may change, pause or stop parts of the service. We will give notice of a large change when we can.

11. No warranty

The service is provided as is, without warranties of any kind, as far as the law allows.

12. Limits on our liability

As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, including losses from inaccurate AI or nutrition information, choices about diet or training, injury during exercise, lost data, or interruptions to the service. Our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months. While the app is free, that amount is zero.

13. Ending your use

You can stop using NomyNoms and delete your account at any time: Settings, then Account, then Delete account, or see nomynoms.com/delete-account. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for a large change we will tell you in the app. If you keep using the service after a change, the new terms apply.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California and the United States. Disputes go to the courts of California, unless the law where you live gives you other rights.
